L’Bri FAQ - Product Knowledge
Q. How quickly can I expect to see results?
A. It all depends on your age, what you have been using previously on your skin, and your beginning skin condition. Wrinkles, sun damage, enlarged/clogged pores, dehydrated skin, etc., don't happen overnight. L'Bri products are corrective and work from the inside out. Many people report a positive change in their skin by the end of the first week. However, it takes about four to six weeks for the skin to do a complete turn around.

Q. What Is An Allergic Reaction?
A. An individual shows an allergic reaction to a particular product, material food, etc., when contact with the substance results in severe swelling, redness and/or itching. If an individual has an allergy or sensitivity to a product, it usually will show up instantaneously following use of the product.

Q. Are L’Bri Skincare Products Allergy Tested?
A. Yes. Our skincare products are subjected to allergy testing under strictest guidelines. The allergy testing of L’Bri products is performed on people who are known to be allergic to most other cosmetic products.

Q. Why is it So Important To Use the 3-Step Program Completely And Regularly?
A. There is no single product that can accomplish the functions of these three products combined. If you use Cleanser and Moisturizer and eliminate the Freshener, the skin becomes more receptive to bacteria that can cause blemishes. If you use the Freshener and Moisturizer, skipping the Cleanser, the skin is not thoroughly cleansed and true moisturizing will not take place. If you use the Cleanser and Freshener and omit the Moisturizer, then the skin is robbed of essential moisture and moisture-retaining elements it needs to be smooth, clear and younger-looking.

Q. Why Do Some Clients At First Discover That After Using The Skincare trio They Develop a Blemish Or Two?
A. Keep in mind that the L’Bri skincare products are corrective products that really work - they achieve results. Most clients who begin using L’Bri products have skins which need corrective care. L’Bri products undo what other products have done. Example: clogged pores, dehydrated skin, dead cell build up, fine lines and wrinkles, etc. If you have a clogged pore condition to begin with, meaning blackheads and whiteheads you may experience a blemish or two as these imbedded impurities begin to surface. It also depends on what you were using to cleanse your skin prior to using L'Bri. If you were a soap user before using L'Bri you may experience a blemish or two. All soap is made with fats, waxes and tallows. Ever wonder what keeps the soap hard? Have you ever noticed how soap leaves a residue in your soap dish, bathtub and shower stall? Well, that same residue is left behind on your skin which means that your skin has a film that will be removed once you begin using the L'Bri products.

L’Bri’s skincare system works from the inside out to help eliminate clogged pores, replace moisture to dehydrated skin remove dead cell buildup, and plump fine lines and wrinkles. As the skincare trio is used, impurities from the pores will come to the surface. Those impurities may result in a blemish. The skin is merely beginning to correct itself. Depending on how damaged the skin was before using L’Bri will determine how much a correction a client will experience.
It is important that you understand that L’Bri products truly correct the skin. This correction period can, in some cases, can last from just a few days to four/six weeks depending on how clogged and/or dehydrated the skin was to begin with. This temporary flushing out period should not be confused with an allergic reaction.

Q. Why Do Some People Experience Flakiness Of The Skin As They Begin Using L’Bri Products?
A. Most people will have a certain amount of dead cell buildup on their skin. At the age of 35 your skin’s cell renewal rate begins to slow down. Aloe is a natural exfoliant and helps the skin to “shed” it’s old worn out skin cells. Some people may notice some flaking of the skin around the second or third week of using the product. This condition usually only lasts a few days. Have your client increase the use of the scrub and facial masque during this time. The end result will be a smoother, creamier looking complexion.

Q. What Is pH?
A. The term “pH” refers to the measurement of the acids and alkali in the skin. The amount of acid in the skin determines the skin’s resistance to bacteria.

Q. What Is The Skin’s pH Measurement?
A. All skins are by nature on the low pH side, or slightly acid, measuring about 6 on the pH scale. Nature does this for good reason - to protect the skin against bacteria. When the skin is in good balance, it is healthier, more attractive, and has fewer blemishes. Acne, allergies and other skin problems are associated with skin that is “off-balance.” In addition to good skin care, proper diet, cleanliness, regularity and “peace of mind” all play a part in maintaining a healthy, well-balanced skin.

Q. How Does Care Of The Skin Affect Its pH Balance?
A. One of the greatest enemies to the skin’s pH balance is soap because it makes the skin alkaline - and thus more receptive to bacteria. Since soap is highly alkaline (and extremely drying), it should never be used on the complexion. With the L’Bri cleansers, clients can enjoy thorough cleansing of the surface skin and the pores without drying the skin or disrupting the skin’s pH balance, as soap can.

L’Bri products have been specially formulated to work with nature to keep the skin clear, healthy and young-looking. This fact is proven once again with regard to the pH balance of the skin.

Q. What Causes Wrinkles?
A. Dehydration, the natural loss of moisture during aging, is the main cause of wrinkles in the skin. The skin is composed of outer layers (epidermis) and deeper layers (dermis). Both are supported by inner layers of cells and fatty tissue, that give the skin support, firmness and contour. As dehydration occurs, the fatty tissues lose moisture and begin to shrivel. Without the firm, plump fatty tissues for support, the surface layers wrinkle, and the skin begins to look older.

Q. Are There Other Causes Of Wrinkles?
A. Many other factors contribute to the development of wrinkles. Sudden loss of weight, illness, stress, fatigue, exposure to the sun, smoking and improper facial care also play a significant role in the production of wrinkles.

Q. What Are Skin Pores?
A. Pores are the outer openings of the glands that carry oil, moisture and waste matter to the skin’s surface. They also help control body temperature. When we’re in a cold environment, tiny muscles close the pores, helping retain body heat. When the temperature rises, the pores open and secrete moisture, which evaporates and creates “cold”, to help the body maintain its normal temperature. In addition to these vital processes, 90 percent of our breathing is done through the pores, so it is extremely important to keep these openings clean.

Q. What Causes Pores to Enlarge?
A. When pore secretions “dry up” in the neck of the pore, the pore becomes clogged and new secretions accumulate behind the obstruction, causing an enlargement. When the obstruction is removed, the pore will return to normal size. However, if the neck has been stretched open for too long, the pore will remain large for a week or two, and will gradually close, according to nature.

Q. Are There Other Factors That Cause Clogged Pores?
A. There are other external factors that can aggravate this condition. Today, more than ever before, our skin is exposed to dirt, grime and other pollutants from our environment. Unless the surface skin is thoroughly cleansed, these elements can remain on the skin surface, further causing pores to enlarge.

Improper skincare can also add to the problem. Cleansing the skin with heavy creams or moisturizing with products containing waxes, oils and other fillers can leave a residue to collect in the pores.

Q. What does it mean when we say, “L’Bri products are synergistic?”
A. Synergistic means “working together for a total superior effect.” L’Bri products are formulated to be used together. Each step enhances the affects of the next step and so on. It is never a good idea to hodge podge (mix) skincare products. All skincare products must be used together for optimum results. Hodge podging is another reason why many people have confused skin which result in different types of skin challenges.

L’Bri skincare products truly are the only answer for the skincare needs of men and women today. We may not be the largest cosmetics company, but remember, we are number one in the most essential beauty products - skincare.
